REACHING OUT TO YOU

Outreach is a vital part of Whitman-Walker's services. Many potential clients do not have access to adequate health care or may feel reluctant to visit a widely known HIV/AIDS or GLBT health clinic.

That is why we have established a number of programs and services to reach our constituents.

Our Community Health department conducts outreach to the community with HIV testing and information and resources to help prevent HIV infection.

Our Advocacy area provides visitors with information on contacting elected officals in the District of Columbia, Virginia and Maryland and encouraging them to support Whitman-Walker, HIV/AIDS funding and GLBT equality.

We also provide Links to a number of HIV/AIDS and GLBT related sites.
