WHITMAN-WALKER CLINIC TO HOUSE METRO DC PFLAG
Nonprofits Working Together to Weather Tough Economy
WASHINGTON – Whitman-Walker Clinic will house the office of Metro DC Parents, Family and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG). The organization will rent space from Whitman-Walker Clinic for a reduced fee and will have access to the Clinic’s facilities for its functions. Metro DC PFLAG will move into space in the Elizabeth Taylor Medical Center in January.
“In this time of very limited resources, Metro DC PFLAG appreciates Whitman-Walker’s willingness to rent us office space at a reduced cost, permitting us to allocate more of our resources to programming and less to overhead,” said Lindy Garnette, executive director of Metro DC PFLAG. “We look forward to opportunities to work more closely with the Clinic as we all work to serve the LGBT community and their families.”
“We are happy to help Metro DC PFLAG reside in our space,” said Don Blanchon, the Clinic’s executive director. “They offer a tremendous service to the LGBT community in the DC metropolitan area.”
