CLINIC SEEKS APPLICANTS FOR COMMUNITY ADVISORY GROUP
Group Will Provide
Recommendations for Clinic Operations
WASHINGTON – Whitman-Walker
Clinic is seeking applicants for its new Community Advisory
Group. The group will begin to meet in March of 2010 and
will provide input on:
• Current and future
health programs and services;
• Cultural competence/training opportunities for employees
and volunteers;
• Targeted community relations and outreach efforts;
and
• Quality improvement initiatives related to patient
satisfaction surveys.
Applications will be accepted
until Thursday, Dec. 31, at 5:00 pm. Anyone who is interested
should send a letter of application with their reasons for
wanting to participate along with their resume’ or

Established in 1978, Whitman-Walker
Clinic is a non-profit, community-based provider of health
care in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area. Through two
sites in the District of Columbia, the Clinic offers primary
medical and dental care; mental health and addictions counseling
and treatment; HIV education, prevention, and testing; legal
services; and medical adherence case management. Whitman-Walker
Clinic is committed to meeting the health needs of the gay,
lesbian, bisexual and transgender community and people living
with HIV/AIDS.
