All services are available to the Spanish-speaking community through bilingual staff and volunteers. Other translation services are available upon request.
Primary
medical care, including regular check ups, urgent
care for illness for current patients, testing for sexually
transmitted infections and pediatric care is available to
the GLBT community at Whitman-Walker Clinic. To schedule an
appointment, call 202-745-7000.
Screening for human papillomavirus for gay and bisexual men is also available through primary care.
STD Clinic
Confidential testing for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including HIV, is conducted on a walk-in basis on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:00 pm at the Elizabeth Taylor Medical Center, 1701 14th St., NW. There are no appointments. Clients are seen on a first come, first served basis. Arrival by 5:30 is recommended to ensure service. Any arrival after the clinic opens is not guaranteed to receive services. Expect to spend at least an hour to 1½ hour once you have been registered at the clinic.

Hepatitis A and B Vaccinations
Hepatitis A and B vaccinations are available. The vaccine is given in a series of injections. Currently, the clinic is offering Hepatitis vaccines free of charge.
Behavioral Health Care
Gay and bisexual men can access behavioral health care services geared specifically
for them.
Gay Men's
Peer Counseling is provided by volunteers who
are gay men who receive ongoing training and supervision in
active listening, problem solving and various concerns facing
gay and bisexual men. Peer counseling and support is provided
to individuals and couples who are dealing with relationships,
jobs, health concerns, coming out or other challenges. For more information on Gay Men's Peer Counseling, call (202) 797-3592.
Gay Men's Peer Support Groups are also offered to bring together men with similar interests and concerns. To join one of our support groups, please e-mail your name, the group you'd like to join, your phone number and your e-mail address to GMPSG wwc.org.
