Whitman-Walker Clinic to Observe National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

UPDATE - The event has been canceled due to inclement weather. Testing will still be available at WWC next week when our facilities are open.

WASHINGTON – Whitman-Walker Clinic will observe National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day on Saturday, Feb. 6, by joining other community health organizations to present an HIV/AIDS awareness event at the Riggs LaSalle Community Center located at 501 Riggs Rd., NE, from 10:00 am-3:00 pm. The event will include free HIV testing and counseling, educational workshops and activities for all ages, and food and entertainment. Although National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day is Feb. 7, all activities will be on Saturday, Feb. 6, and throughout the following week. (more)

In the event of bad weather, the Clinic closes when the federal government is closed. Any delays in opening or early closures also follow the federal government. Check local TV or radio for information on weather closings for the federal government or Whitman-Walker Clinic.
